The RUF completes the first SCR 2020

Two years after its first world debut at Geneva Motorshow 2018, the RUF has finally completed its first commercial version of the SCR. This car recently appeared at the showroom of this car manufacturer in Pfaffenhausen, Germany, this is also the headquarters of this car manufacturer.

It is easy to see that the car no longer uses the foundation of a Porsche, but it still possesses the familiar design lines, similar to the Porsche in the ’80s and ’90s of the last century. . From the outside, the familiar lines of the RUF and Porsche are still seen. The first RUF SCR 2020 in the world appears with a green exterior with many black and silver exterior details such as tire wheels, door edges, … to honor the retro design of the car.

Inside, the interior is upholstered in luxurious cowhide leather, along with contrasting black leather. The seats are nicely created with checkered fabric details. Signature designs such as the five-sided mechanical dashboard, minimalist door trim, and small rear seats are still in use.

RUF SCR 2020 is an important step for the German carmaker when on this car, the company does not have to manufacture on the basis of the Porsche 911 models anymore. Instead, this model will use a platform with a monocoque carbon fiber chassis developed by RUF itself. In addition, this chassis is also used on RUF Yellowbird.

On SCR 2020, the RUF equips the car with a 6-cylinder boxer engine, with a capacity of 4.0 liters that is naturally aspirated, producing a maximum capacity of 510 horsepower at 8,270 rpm and maximum torque. 469 Nm at 5,670 rpm. This power is transmitted to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission.

According to the announcement 2 years ago launched by RUF at Geneva Motorshow, the company will only produce 15 SCRs. With such a limited number, the car comes with an uncomfortable price tag, at $ 743,525, equal to three Porsche 911 (992) Turbo Ss that were just released not long ago.
