The design of an Indian student of the electric KTM RC8 model posted on the Internet has spread at breakneck speed by the biker community thanks to the eco-friendly concept.
This work comes from Mohit Solanki – a student in Car Design at IIT Bombay University, India. This student’s concept of electric motorbikes based on KTM RC8 prototypes comes from the purpose of promoting the development of environmentally friendly electric energy vehicles.
When posting this design online, Mohit stated his opinion and desire that sales of motorcycles with internal combustion engines will decline, while stimulating customer interest in used vehicles. electric power. This is entirely possible when the Indian market is witnessing a sharp increase in consumer demand for electric vehicles.
Although this design is not officially recognized by the Austrian automaker, the idea for an electric-powered KTM RC8 model is indeed very potential. Mohit brings a completely different idea to the global motorcycle industry with a sports motorcycle using an electric motor.
Mohit Solanki also said that the goal of this idea is to create an electric motorcycle with a powerful design and performance that can be customized according to the mode in each case. Therefore, parts that play a role in the car’s aerodynamics will be specially polished.
KTM RC8 prototype was produced in the period 2008 – 2015 with the V-Twin engine block tilted 75 degrees, 1195cc capacity, for maximum power up to 173 hp at 10250 rpm and maximum torque 108 Nm at 8000 rpm.
