Lamborghini Squadra Corse teased new super racing cars to be launched this summer

Squadra Corse sports racing division of Lamborghini previously only produced and used two main lines of racing with V10 engines, the Huracan Super Trofeo and Huracan GT3. After a car specifically made for the customer – the SC18 Alston, this could change as the unit constantly shows videos as well as photos and information of a racing supercar powered by a V12 engine.

Since this was a car built specifically for the track, Lamborghini’s Squadra Corse and design division Centro Stile had to work together to set it apart from the existing Aventador platform.

Squadra Corse’s hypercar will own the design of racing cars with large wind cavities on the roof, fixed rear spoiler, capo with dual wind cavities, … To ensure safety, Squadra Corse designed the car with front and rear impact frames are made of aluminum while the monocoque cockpit is made entirely of carbon fiber. Wheels will be used super lightweight wheels, like other racing cars and use center locking screws.

According to a previously released video, the racing hypercar that the Lamborghini Squadra Corse is developing will use the most powerful V12 engine ever developed by the automaker. This 6.5-liter naturally aspirated engine block will produce maximum capacity up to 830 horsepower. The power from the engine block will be transmitted to the wheel via a sequential gearbox provided by Xtrac, accompanied by a mechanical automatic lock differential. The owner of the car can also adjust this differential depending on the race track and operating conditions.

Although the official name has not been confirmed, many rumors suggest that the Lamborghini Squadra Corse hypercar will be named SVR. The name was taken from the world’s unique Miura SVR, manufactured in 1974. The Miura SVR was a regular Miura S remade by Lamborghini in the Miura Jota configuration, the race car in crash in the year. 1972.

Lamborghini Squadra Corse will produce limited models of this model. However, information about the quantity, selling price and timing of this car has not been announced. Squadra Corse is scheduled to launch this racetrack hypercar this summer.

This is not the first time Lamborghini Squadra Corse has launched a racing car using a V12 engine. Previously, this division also launched the Murcielago R-GT, but this model was not too successful in the GT1 segment. SC18 Alston is also a supercar launched by Squadra Corse. It has a race-oriented design but still has the ability to operate legally on the street.
