Last year, Lamborghini and its racing division Squadra Corse launched the SC18 Alston as the opening model of special personalization and racing for customers. To bring more customers into this racing program in the future, Lamborghini Squadra Corse has launched the Essenza SCV12 supercar with top-notch design and performance.
Developed by Lamborghini Squadra Corse and Centro Stile, the Essenza SCV12 is the most powerful V12 engine in its history, combined with the latest aerodynamic design and technology solutions, delivering a feeling the most authentic feeling of the racing cars. This racing supercar will be produced at Squadra Corse’s special facility with limited quantity of only 40 units.

On the Essenza SV12, Lamborghini Squadra Corse has upgraded the naturally aspirated V12 engine being used on its flagship models to 830 hp. The engine is now free from power, due to the lack of emissions regulations. The power will be transmitted to the rear wheels through a 6-speed sequential transmission produced by the X-Trac and used as the chassis of the vehicle to help partially reduce weight. The exhaust system was developed in cooperation with Capristo for the purest sound of the V12 engine as well as reducing the rear exhaust pressure.

The Essenza SCV12 possesses an impressive weight / power ratio of 1.66 kg / hp. This ratio is due to the use of a new molded carbon fiber monocoque chassis, which integrates an anti-roll frame according to FIA standards. In order to maximize stability and agility on the track, racing dynamics solutions were used, typically the rear suspension swingarm attached directly to the vehicle’s transmission. The car is equipped with 19-inch magnesium wheels in the front and 20-inch at the rear, using Pirelli tires and brakes by Brembo.
To help the car go as fast as possible on the track, exterior design and aerodynamics are also on top. According to Lamborghini, the Essenza SCV12 can generate up to 1,200 kg of pressure at a speed of 250 km / h, or 200 kg more pressure than its rival, the McLaren Senna GTR. To obtain this figure, some of the details were directly inspired by the GT racing cars of Squadra Corse.

At the top of the car, the SCV12 has a long front bumper with two air intakes located next to the lights. The top of the car is flat and minimalistic with the two air vents of the aforementioned wind pipes, combined with the gills to direct the airflow around the car and create pressure. The flanks mark the appearance of vertical spoiler and large radiator vents while a small air cavity is added on the roof. A large diffuser is used at the rear of the vehicle, accompanied by a carbon fiber dual wing beetle, which can be adjusted in various modes manually.

In addition to the designs taken from racing cars, the overall Essenza SCV12 was designed by Lamborghini Centro Stile with angular lines, pit taken from the DNA of its predecessors such as Miura Jota or Diablo GTR. Y-shaped contours are also used extensively both outside and inside the cockpit. Customers will be able to choose between paint colors such as Verde Silvans, Grigio Linx, Nero Aldebaran Gloss and Arancio California, accompanied by longtime Lamborghini sponsor and partner logos such as Pertamina, Pirelli and Roger Dubuis.

The signature design continues to be used by Lamborghini inside the cockpit of the Essenza SCV12. All interior design is done with the aim of keeping the driver focused on the experience that the car offers. The steering wheel is integrated with function buttons like a racing car so that the driver does not need to take his hand away to still be able to adjust the functions. The seats and seating positions are also appropriately designed for the owner of the vehicle. The seat on the car is manufactured by OMP and meets FIA standards with a hardened carbon fiber shell to ensure the safety of the driver.
Customers who buy Essenza SCV12 will be specially “cared for” by Lamborghini and become the first members of the Squadra Corse customer racing club. Starting next year, customers will be able to use their cars on many world-famous tracks and be guided by five-time champion Le Mans 24h – Marco Mapelli. In addition, customers can also use the car on any track they want with just one call and it will be available for 48 hours from the call being made. The vehicle can also be monitored when Squadra Corse manages it via a dedicated software.

Stefano Domenicali, CEO and President of Automobili Lamborghini, said: “The Essenza SCV12 represents the purest driving experience our brand can offer, an engineering marvel that highlights the Inseparable link between our vehicle and the asphalt road. Lamborghini is a brand that is constantly looking to the future and looking for new challenges, but we never forget our origins.
