As one of the most attractive supercar models launched earlier this year, the Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport has caught the attention of the majority of car enthusiasts. However, due to the impact of the epidemic, the car was launched online and until now, the French supercar will be taken around Europe, visiting some major cities for people love cars as well as potential customers have the opportunity to see and experience this rare supercar.
After the impressive roadshow in Paris, the Chiron Pur Sport has headed to the first destination, London, UK. Here, the car was displayed in a space designed exclusively for Pur Sport of HR Owen Bugatti dealer. The car is surrounded by familiar marks of the Bugatti brand as well as reflecting the company’s development history.
After being taken to London, the Chiron Pur Sport will continue its journey to the city of Hamburg, Germany and will be displayed at Bugatti’s official dealership here. Currently, the number of Bugatti’s agents recorded in Germany is 4 and Hamburg is one of the largest Bugatti’s dealers in this country. The car will have a roadshow here before being displayed in a space specifically designed for this impressive model.
After a number of major cities the car stops by, the final destination that Chiron Pur Sport heads to is the Swiss capital Geneva. This was supposed to be the place where Pur Sport had the opportunity to shine in the annual Geneva Motorshow show here, but this year’s event was canceled due to epidemics. That is why the car will be officially brought to this city as the final destination of its round-Europe journey.
Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport possesses many innovative changes, bringing higher performance than the original Chiron. The Chiron Pur Sport’s chassis also gets significant upgrades like 65% stiffer front springs, 33% stiffer rear springs, and performance-focused adaptive dampers. The Chiron Pur Sport is fitted with wheels weighing just 16 kg and are styled to improve braking aerodynamics and ventilation. The wheels are equipped with special Bugatti Sport Cup 2 R tires developed by Michelin, measuring 285/30 R20 at the front and 355/25 R21 at the back.
By improving aerodynamic efficiency and reducing mass for this hypercar, engineers have improved handling and made the Chiron more stable when cornering. The car is still equipped with an 8.0-liter W16 engine, capable of producing a capacity of up to 1,479 horsepower. However, the rev limit has increased by more than 200 rpm compared to the conventional Chiron, reaching 6,900 rpm. This change was made by the engine mated to a recalibrated automatic transmission.
With the technical changes, shorter gear ratios, all-new tires and innovative aerodynamics make it the fastest Bugatti ever. Each Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport will cost 3 million euros and be produced in limited quantities of only 60 units. The production line for the Chiron Pur Sport will kick off sometime in the second half of 2020.
