Bugatti CEO Stephan Winkelmann introduces Chiron Pur Sport via online video

Although the Geneva Motorshow 2020 event was canceled at the last minute, Bugatti and CEO Stephan Winkelmann still do not want to miss the opportunity to introduce its latest product called the Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport. As every year, in famous exhibitions, Stephen Winkelmann still keeps the habit of appearing with super cars and introduces masterpieces to the press directly.

And this year, however, with a different way: Stephan Winkelmann introduced the Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport via an online video. In this online video, he and the R&D director carefully introduce this model, as well as interpret the information to detail what makes the Chiron Pur Sport so special.

It can be said that the Chiron is a line of cars with the most known Bugatti brand. These models have been developed from the famous Chiron in recent years such as Divo, La Voiture Noire, Centodieci and most recently the car has just been launched by this brand – Chiron Pur Sport.

The Chiron Pur Sport’s chassis also gets significant upgrades like 65% stiffer front springs, 33% stiffer rear springs, and performance-focused adaptive dampers. The Chiron Pur Sport is fitted with wheels weighing just 16 kg and are styled to improve braking aerodynamics and ventilation. The wheels are equipped with special Bugatti Sport Cup 2 R tires developed by Michelin, measuring 285/30 R20 at the front and 355/25 R21 at the back.

By improving aerodynamic efficiency and reducing mass for this hypercar, engineers have improved handling and made the Chiron more stable when cornering. The car is still equipped with an 8.0-liter W16 engine, capable of producing a capacity of up to 1,479 horsepower. However, the rev limit has increased by more than 200 rpm compared to the conventional Chiron, reaching 6,900 rpm. This change was made by the engine mated to a recalibrated automatic transmission.

Bugatti will launch and sell only 16 Chiron Pur Sport units and will begin production by the end of 2020 and each will cost € 3.2 million excluding taxes.
