BMW has officially unveiled its all-new 4-door electric coupe model with the name i4, the most advanced version with a power of 523 horsepower, a maximum range of 590 km.
BMW once promised that their new all-electric 4-door coupe would be 85% like the concept model and it has delivered on that promise. The new BMW i4 adopts the same headliner iX design language, including a large vertical grille.
In fact, this large grille has almost no cooling or cooling function because it is a fully electric vehicle. However, the application of this design language will make it easier to identify the vehicle, along with hiding a series of internal sensors. This is probably the only controversial detail of this version as the rest of the bodywork remains the classic four-door coupe ratio.
The new BMW i4 will be launched later this year with a range of different capacity options and battery sizes. On the WLTP cycle, the vehicle’s range can reach 590 km, and reaches 482 km on the EPA Cycle.
The most powerful variants of the new BMW i4 will be provided with a combined power of 523 horsepower and the ability to accelerate from 0-100 km / h in about 4 seconds. BMW did not disclose the rest of the specifications, nor any interior photos.
However, since the new i4 looks similar to the gasoline-powered 4-Series, BMW fans can expect a nearly identical dashboard design. However, a key feature of the new BMW i4 will be the new iDrive 8 infotainment system that has a redesigned, updated online interface that is safer and runs on a 14.9-inch touchscreen and 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.
BMW i4 uses the latest BMW charging technology, supports fast charging with 150 kW DC power. BMW’s new 4-door Coupe will take about 35 minutes to recharge 80% of the battery.
